30 Day Extension and/or Payment Plan Request Form

The Municipal Court Judge may grant a 30-day extension to pay your fine in full. You must enter a plea of No Contest or Guilty, in writing, requesting a 30-day extension.

If you do not pay your fine in full by the 30th day, that the law requires you to pay a one-time fee of $15.00 per violation. (Chapter 51 of the Texas Local Government Code Section 51.921).  You are waiving your right to a jury trial.

The Judge may grant a payment plan up to four equal installments. You may request, in writing, a longer period of time due to financial hardship. The Judge requires that you complete a Financial Statement  for consideration. The Judge may require that you appear before him in open court.

If you fail to uphold your agreement with the court, warrants will be issued for your arrest and a hold placed on your driver’s license renewal. Your case may be sent to a collections department.
