Conflict of Interest

If a city official has filed more than one form, there will be a notation of several forms next to their name. Required retention of these forms is three years from the date filed under Texas State Library retention number GR 1000-43. 

    Local Government Code Section 176.009

 Requires city officials and employees to disclose certain conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from any discussion on the matter.

Local Government Code 171 Requires City officials to disclose certain relationships with vendors. Local Government Code 171 Section 171.004(b) stipulates the completed forms must be filed with the official records administrator (Florence City Secretary’s Office) of the governmental entity.

 Local Government Code 176 Requires City officials and vendors disclose certain relationships. Local Government Code 176 Section 176.006(a)(1) stipulates the completed form must be filed with the official records administrator (Florence City Secretary’s Office) not later than the seventh (7th) business day after the date the person becomes aware of the facts that require the statement or questionnaire be filed.
