Part-Time City Hall Administrative Assistant

The City of Florence is accepting applications until filled for a Part-Time City Hall Administrative Assistant. Work activities are related to public assistance and public information, cashiering, accounting, receipts of payments, monthly reports and clerical activities to lead and participate in the city’s utility billing, Municipal Court, and permitting. Performs other duties as required. High School or GED Equivalent.  Salary DOQ, $15-$18.00 per hour.

Job Title: Patrol Officer (Part-Time)

The Florence Police Department is currently accepting applications for a part-time Reserve Police Officer. The City of Florence is a growing city of approx. 1,200 residents located between Killeen/Fort Cavazos and Georgetown along State Highway 195. Florence Police Department currently consists of seven (7) Full Time and Reserve Police Officers. Our rapidly expanding department seeks qualified, hard-working, and dedicated personnel to join our team. Duties include conducting patrols within the city limits to protect citizens from physical harm, preventing property loss due to theft or vandalism, enforcing all laws including municipal ordinances, county ordinances, and state laws, responding to all calls for service, accidents, and reports of crime, investigating criminal offenses that occur within district’s jurisdiction, collecting and preserving evidence for criminal investigations including witness statements and physical evidence, arresting perpetrators, filing appropriate charges, ensuring placement in jail or juvenile detention centers for law violations as necessary, writing effective legal incident reports, and testifying in court as needed.

High school diploma or GED.  Must be at least 21 years of age. Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer (TCOLE) Standards and Education Basic Certification. Clear and valid Texas driver’s license. Background in law enforcement or related work experience.

This is an unpaid position; Monthly Work Requirements are a minimum of 24 hours conducted during four patrol shifts a month.
