Trap~Neuter~Return Program- T.N.R.

The City of Florence has implemented a Trap~Neuter~Return program to help reduce the population of cats within our city with the help of local volunteers and Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter. This program is strictly volunteer. The city has purchased traps to loan out for citizens to trap and transport free-roaming cats.

If you are interested in borrowing a trap, please complete the Feline TNR Program form.

Why are cats returned? Relocating cats doesn’t work because the removal of cats from a certain area opens up the area for new cats to move in and take over. By returning spayed/neutered cats to their neighborhoods, they are free to live out their lives without reproducing.
